What an Amazing Lady
Saturday, I learned about a fantastic person whom I had only known for a very short time. I heard about a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and daughter. I heard stories about popcorn balls, throwing underwear on a stage, and a coat. I heard she ended the school announcements by reminding everyone to love one another. I learned about the amazing bulletin boards she made. I learned about her faith and the power of prayer. I heard about her love of poetry and how she was both a girly girl and a tomboy. The power of making people feel welcomed and her tenaciousness in people following through with their commitments. The way she enjoyed all children, bringing snacks, being creative, and in the way she played with her children. The few times I had the chance to be with Rose, if I had my grandson, he never left her presence without cookies, candy, or both. I learned about an amazing person I hope to be someday.
